Your first contact is an assessment with the doctor or clinician who will also look after you. We do not split investigation and treatment between different people, because it is in the join between them that information gets lost.
What general surgery at Aleris means
Planned surgery only
We operate only on a planned basis. No emergency case can displace your slot, and the same team stands in the same theatre every day — which makes both the timetable and the results predictable.
Day surgery where possible
Most procedures are day cases: you come in the morning and go home the same day. If an overnight stay is needed we say so beforehand, not afterwards.
Follow-up is included
A follow-up with the operating surgeon is always included. Results are reported to the national quality registries that apply to the procedure.
